Gomaco Trolley Company: New Additions To The Facility

The beginning of 2007 saw an addition to the Gomaco Trolley Company building. A 60 X 63 foot expansion was constructed on the northwest corner of the facility, and it houses three areas, a construction room with an open "pit" where technicians can easily work underneath the trolleys, a paint preparation area, and a paint room.

Trolleys under construction can easily be maneuvered into the "pit" room on tracks which run through the building.	Trolley parts can be prepared for painting, and then painted in this new area of the expansion.


The downdraft paint booth removes the paint overspray and fumes through channels in the floor. The air is then carried back to two triple-filtered booths, where it is filtered to EPA standards and sent outside.	The entire new addition can be seen in this photo.
