Trolley Construction - Hybrid Melbourne #799

Gomaco Trolley Company completed the reconditioning of Melbourne trolley #799 in 2011. It is a similar style to the Melbourne trolleys currently running the rails in Memphis, Tennessee. Trolley #799 is the first trolley to include the Double E system, which is dual powered with electric-over-electric. The trolley's power can be obtained from both the standard overhead power line or from the unique GTC battery-powered system.
